This academic year marks the 84th Anniversary of the 16th Hong Kong Group since its establishment in June 1940. We are proud to have set up four sections to cater to members across different age groups, namely the Grasshopper Ring, Cub Pack, Scout Troop, and Venture Scout Unit.

We celebrates its 83rd Anniversary this year. With sections for different age groups, including the Grasshopper Ring, Cub Pack, Scout Troop, and Venture Scout Unit, we strive to provide diverse opportunities. We recently held a gathering to mark our establishment, making moon cakes together. Our flag raising team achieved the 1st runner-up position in a regional competition. Promoting a healthy lifestyle, our members excelled in the Island Scout Trail Walk and secured top positions. Furthermore, our Group actively participates in international events, with members attending the World Scout Jamboree in South Korea.

Our Group celebrates its 82nd Anniversary this year. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, our Group has persevered and adapted to continue providing scouting activities. We organized various face-to-face activities, including a mooncake-making session using primitive outdoor cooking techniques. However, the 5th wave of the pandemic led to the suspension of face-to-face activities once again. Nevertheless, we held successful online scouting activities, including a joint troop event with two other Scout Groups. As the situation improved, we resumed face-to-face activities and participated in the Island Scout Trail Walk 2022, achieving remarkable results. Congratulations to all participants for their achievements and personal growth.

Our Group commemorates its 81st Anniversary this academic year. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, our Group remained resilient and adapted to the circumstances. We organized online meetings and ceremonies to ensure our members continued to engage in scouting activities. Since May 2021, we have resumed face-to-face activities, participating in the Island Scout Trail Walk 2021. Our efforts paid off as one of our teams emerged as the champion in the 25 km Competition Category. Additionally, several of our scouts and venture scouts received recognition for completing a trail of at least 25 km. Congratulations to all for their achievements and dedication.

Our Group celebrates its 80th Anniversary this academic year. Despite disruptions caused by social turmoil and the COVID-19 pandemic, our Group adapted by shifting scout activities online. Through platforms like Google Classroom, Jitsi Meet, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams, our members actively participated in meetings and badge assessments. We also organized an 80th Anniversary Gala Dinner, where Mr. Joseph Lau, the Chief Commissioner, was our esteemed Guest of Honor. The event brought together old scouts, leaders, current scouts, and parents to celebrate and recognize achievements, including the prestigious Dragon Scout Award earned by Mr. Wong Hoi Wai, Tony. Congratulations, Tony, and may his success inspire others.
